The BPS 34 has a protection rating of IP 65. This bar code reader is used to determine the position of the BPS relative to a permanently mounted barcode band. This unit has been designed for Profibus and is the first that has a directly integrated Profibus DP interface. It is available with two different Profibus connection modules: MS 34 103 and MS 34 105. The BCL 34 is also available with a modular service display: MS 1 101. The laser beams are on an angle of 10 degrees to the top to avoid a total reflection of the laser from for example glossy labels.
