Areas of application

The MSI-MX Modular Safety Interface unit is approved as a Category 4 muting device for Opto-Electronic Safety Devices. The MSI-MX is capable of accepting two muting inputs (parallel muting) or four inputs (double parallel/sequential muting) to mute two Category 4 Safety Light Curtains or four Category 2 Safety Light Curtains. The muting device also has two sets of dual inputs for the connection of an additional two E-Stops or Safety Gate Switches thus eliminating the need for additional Safety Relays. The MSI-MX also monitors its own muting indication lamps and offers a warning output if one should fail. The MSI-MX offers an output relay warning for additional preventative maintenance.
