Areas of application

The MSI-MIX Modular Safety Interface unit is approved as a Category 4 Presence Sensing Device Initiators (PSDI) with built in muting for Opto-Electronic Safety Devices. The MSI-MIX is capable of accepting two muting inputs (parallel muting) and also monitors its own muting indication lamps and offers a warning output if one should fail. The PSDI function allows the Safety Light Curtain to be implemented into Single Break, Double Break machine initiators.

The muting initiation device also has three sets of dual inputs for the connection of an additional two E-Stops or Safety Gate Switches and Safety Light Curtains thus eliminating the need for additional Safety Relays. The MSI-MX offers an output relay warning for additional preventative maintenance.
